Letter no. 8 GIREP-EPEC conference in Wroclaw

GIREP-EPEC conference in Wroclaw

December 22th, 2014: Letter no. 8 to all national representatives of GIREP

Dear representatives of GIREP

As promised when asked to become representative we did not bother you unnecessarily. With this message I combine two goals: the latest newsletter ( almost a book, with 16 pages of information, read directly via, for those who did not get it yet), and some good news on the next conference.

So now it is time to take action again. From July 6 until July 10 in Wroclaw, Poland the next GIREP-EPEC international conference takes place.

In attachment you can find an invitation to participate.

Please have a look at the flyer, and send it to as many people as possible, by all communication channels you have.

Announcements on websites are also very welcome. Please make sure you make a link to (still working on, but a link to the flyer is available).

Of course, you, representative, are invited as VIP! The Polish organisers have done a great effort this time to reduce the price to the lowest level in years. This gives me hope that many of you will be able to attend. For GIREP we still do not have any budget for financial support. We are sorry for that.

Early bird registration will open soon, please announce the possibility to become member of GIREP too. As a member organisation, this is very important for GIREP. We use this money mainly for helping organisers to be able to announce a high level and extended program.

You can look forward to another communication within a few weeks, then with the newest newsletter.

Is it possible write a short note (one paragraph is enough) for this newsletter: some need-to-know news, or even nice-to-know news is welcome. Something worthwhile mentioning to the physics community worldwide.

Again, thank you very much for everything!

Wim Peeters

Vice-president of GIREP.
