PROJECT OVERVIEWOpen Source Physics @ Singapore – Educational Technology Division (ETD)
This booth will showcase Open Source Physics at Singapore (OSP@SG) – an ICT project that helps teachers bring real-world physics concepts into the classroom.
To-date, 100 teachers and 10,000 students in Secondary and Junior Colleges have benefited from this project since 2012.
The three unique selling point of the innovation include

  • Accessible, anytime, anywhere because students can run the programme on any computer (browser, open content, no password nor login required) and mobile device (browser, apps and e-books)
  • Adaptable, open-source – gives teachers and students the freedom to collaborate and share ICT resources for teaching and learning

Is ExCEL Fest open to members of the public?

The 2017 ExCEL Fest is an internal event that is specially curated and designed for MOE staff (schools and HQ). However, interested members of the public may visit the Exhibition Area which will be held at Suntec Convention Centre in Halls 403 and 404, from 30 to 31 Mar 2017 (0900 to 1800 hours daily). As we are expecting a large turnout of MOE staff at the event, visitors may experience heavy human traffic especially in the afternoons. In the event that the halls get too overcrowded and present safety concerns, we seek your understanding that we may have to regrettably turn members of the public away.
