Wee Loo Kang has been an active contributor to learning resources on Physics education. These resources are uploaded on digital repositories such as comPADRE Digital Library and NTNUJAVA Virtual Physics Laboratory. They have been downloaded and used by many Singaporean educators as well as other international educators in the open source Physics education community. Some of the resources have also been translated into different languages. Loo Kang’s resources have also been used on Wikipedia as animated pictures that depict difficult to understand paragraphs-texts for example Vernier caliper and micrometer.

Author/co-author of about 85 quality resources hosted by comPADRE Digital Library, NTNUJAVA Virtual Physics Laboratory and http://weelookang.blogspot.sg/p/physics-applets-virtual-lab.html are used by local and international communities, even translated in different languages, for the advancement of open education, putting Singapore as global leader for the world.

Recognised nationally, he also sit on the H2 Advanced Level Physics Syllabus Development Committee, Physics Chapter, DGE suggested Hillgrove Secondary flight-aerospace program and won the Public Service PS21 best ideator award 2012.
