Visit to Addest Station

recently, Dr. Tan Kah Chye (Director, CEO and Co-founder) of AddestStation invited me to check out their physics demo kits. Useful stuff!

Demo 1: Supercooling http://arxiv.org/abs/1412.8683 A Study of the Occurrence of Supercooling of Water K.-C. Tan, W. Ho, J. I. Katz, S.-J. Feng

setup, there were 3 setups, first the actual supercooling,
second a dummy to allow thermometer to be removed at below  - 0°C to demonstrate supercooled water is instead a liquid at below  - 0°C. 
third setup is no supercooling, just normal cooling state change to solid at 0°C

with supercooling http://arxiv.org/abs/1412.8683. notice temperature decreases below 0 °C like - 5°C
