Two UMU teachers receive an international Physics award

The professors of the University of Murcia (UMU) Francisco Esquembre and Félix García Clemente have been distinguished with the prestigious Excellence in Physics Education Award granted by the American Physical Society (APS) and which has valued "their sustained commitment to excellence in Physics teaching. "

These are the first Spaniards who receive this award , which recognizes their work in the framework of the "Open Source Physics" project with the "Easy Java / Javascript Simulations" computer tool, which is used to create scientific computer simulations to facilitate the learning of science.



Esquembre, Professor of Mathematical Analysis, and García Clemente, Professor of Architecture and Computer Technology will collect the award, which scientists also have as Carl Wieman, Nobel Prize in Physics in 2001, in Washington in April 2020.
