 zinc ion  A white precipitate which is soluble in excess of sodium hydroxide to form a colourless solution.
 A white precipitate which is soluble in excess of aqueous ammonia.
 aluminium  ion   A white precipitate which is soluble in excess of sodium hydroxide to form a colourless solution.
A white precipitate which is insoluble in excess of aqueous ammonia.
 lead(II) ion    A white precipitate which is soluble in excess of sodium hydroxide to form a colourless solution.
A white precipitate which is insoluble in excess of aqueous ammonia. 
 calcium ion  A white precipitate which is insoluble in excess of sodium hydroxide.
 No visible colour change; the solution remains colourless.
 iron (II) ion

iron (III) ion
 copper (II) ion   A blue precipitate which is insoluble in excess of sodium hydroxide.
 A blue precipitate which is soluble in excess of aqueous ammonia to form a dark blue solution.
  ammonium ion  No precipitate formed. Gas evolved on warming turns damp red litmus paper blue.

 No visible colour change; the solution remains colourless.
