Considerations for VAI stimuli

1. USER: 
• Is the exam taker able to use and navigate the computer system (assuming computer with mouse, or purely keyboard, or purely touch screen)? The Video, Animation and Interactive (VAI) should be able to support all 3 such interactive modes?
2. TOOL:
1. VAI conform to standards of common YouTube, Gighy, Open Source Physics for Exam mode?
2. Simple interface ( play, pause, next, reset)
3. Universal icons for buttons, sliders for ease of association
4. Controls should be at the top instead of bottom,
   
   to reduce students missing out where the controls are, plus on phones, the keyboards typically comes up from the bottom, may block the controls if they are at the bottom.
5. Controls should be big enough to prevent miss click on phones
   
6. Language should be English but with capacity for multi language support
7. Hints should appear on mouse move over 
   
8. Simple usage ( drag or object to re-position, resize)
9. Intuitive view (Real or Virtual or Question top-bottom or left-right for lower cognitive load figuring out)
10. 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional depends on the context of the question, generally 2 D is sufficient unless the question is about a 3 D phenomena like geostationary orbits around Earth for example.
11. Supports auto-saving-resuming in case of internet disruption or inactivity
12. Just enough controls for 1 or 2 variables depending on the question asked. No extra distraction for unproductive wondering/exploring.
