Job Opportunity: Temporary Research Assistant for MOE Project SSTRF2025

About the Project: We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Temporary Research Assistant for the Ministry of Education (MOE) project titled "Use of Digital Simulation-based Lessons to Enhance Metacognition in Mathematics" (SSTRF2025). This project aims to harness the potential of open-source mathematics simulations to transform teaching and learning practices in primary mathematics education. By developing simulation-based lessons, we strive to enhance students' thinking skills, metacognition, and overall learning outcomes in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Assist the project team in designing graphics, simple programming, coding, and updating *.xhtml files for simulation activities.
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare resources and materials for workshops, meetings, and lessons, including conducting internet research.
  • Website Maintenance: Manage PHP scripts and oversee the resource website https://sg.iwant2study.org/ospsg/index.php/
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other tasks assigned by the project team and supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Preferably a student with A level or Poly or a related discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer usage, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with programming and coding is an advantage.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
