20250711 Math HAL Seminar

The key note will featured a focused deep dive into two transformative tools that are enhancing digital content creation in education: the Authoring Co-Pilot (ACP) and HTML5-based generators.

Authoring Co-Pilot (ACP) empowers educators to rapidly generate lesson modules and quizzes directly within the SLS platform. With just a few prompts, ACP helps streamline quiz generation, and enable more consistent pedagogical design across lessons.

For participants interested in more technical capabilities, the session also introduced HTML5-based AI generation tools. These tools enable educators to build rich, interactive simulations and resources powered by AI:

  • Google Gemini 2.5 Pro (AI Studio): A powerful and free tool capable of writing over 1,000 lines of HTML5/JavaScript code. It allows for the generation of fully functional, interactive learning modules with unlimited usage. Try it here

  • Helper Zipper: A lightweight utility that converts your HTML/JS/CSS code into a ready-to-upload SLS-compatible ZIP file. Ideal for publishing custom content on the SLS platform. Try it here

Together, ACP and HTML5 tools demonstrate how AI and open-source solutions can empower educators to co-create rich, scalable learning experiences with minimal barriers.

I like the fact that you introduced as many platforms (chat gpt, claude, studio AI, Gemini) but i felt that when my codes doesn't work, i had to keep trying. And i have no idea why when i copy the template provided, the generated ones are different from what yours look like. It would have been great if it is a smaller group (FGD) or have someone at the table who can help with explaining where went wrong. That would have been useful.
Thanks for providing opportunities for us to learn from one another. I wish more time could be given for us to explore the tools. I wonder if all these games that we have created could be compiled and sorted according to levels and topics for all teachers to use.
perhaps upload the lesson onto community gallery for everyone to search and refer to when we need them? so people who are not in the course can access and look through to
NIL
Hands on is good. A lot of materials and content is shared but I feel that everything was rushed because too much needs to be shared with us. Its a good problem. Feels like this can be a 2 part module. Thank you for sharing all these with us. Perhaps, there can be a resource bank where all these game prompts are parked. We can use these games to adapt and edit to our own use.
Nil
It is really interesting and is probably something that can be implemented in other subjects, which I would like to try out and introduce to other colleagues. But the aspect of HAL is not prominent in the session, the tools introduced can be used in all levels of students.
Nil
The lesson pace is a bit fast. However, the contents shared is interesting
Workshop provides opportunities for hands-on experiential learning. Appreciate the sharing of the skills and prompt templates.
This workshop is very interesting, very useful, and it was a great way to spend my Friday!
Very wonderful sharing, thank you very much! Please keep the sharing folder & SLS lesson open so we can access the materials FOREVER. First time in very long, I find the workshop too short! Thank you again!

Probably in exploration of AI being used to create lesson ideas and worksheets
Wonderful sharing! Very applicable and useful for us. Please keep the sharing folder open to help us learn how to write better prompts.
Thank you so much for the rich sharing. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Keep the Google Drive available for all participants. Please don't delete!! ??
The materials provided allows me to try out game creation on my own time.
The workshop is very complete and has covered the parts which challenges most of the educators technically in creating math resources. A very relevant and useful sharing. Thank you.
Nil keep it within 5pm to avoid traffic jam. Thank you
Appreciate the hands-on session and the rich resources provided in the whole lesson package. Really enlightening session! Thank you so much for all the hard work!
The course has been very interesting and beneficial. It provides greater pathway for teachers to enhance the learning of our HAL students.
The lesson was a little too fast-paced, might be better if some pre-reading or pre-course-activity was assigned to ensure all participants are on roughly the same level of readiness before the course. The examples shared during the course are not all quite targeted towards the HALs, though the content covered in the course is still beneficial for teachers.

session a bit too short
Now it seems that the technical barrier of coding has been diminished. Prompt engineering has become more important. In this workshop, we had been introduced to the framework that is available in SLS. Maybe more workshops to focus on Prompt Engineering. Thank you all! Very interesting workshop!!
The workshop has been very engaging and useful for my lessons. I will definitely explore more and create more interesting applications to stretch my students. Thank you for organising this workshop!
Use of AI tools for Math.

If we are able to use harness AI effectively, we will be able to create resources that are useful in teaching and learning.
Thank you for sharing. will definitely explore and make use of the ideas shared in the workshop. Really like the fact that it is easy to create activities to enhance teaching and learning digitally.
Thank you for the exposure to the different AI tools to generate learning activities. We will need more time to try and test it out. Not very easy for first timers.
Have Part 2 of this session for more handson and more examples.
I would like to know more about the game (ang bao) and how it works to challenge my HAL students. I thoroughly enjoyed the session as the hands on part of it allowed us to generate a whole lot of possibilities. Looking forward to sharing my learning with my colleagues!
perhaps step by step video recording on how to create games so we can share the videos with our colleagues in school. Thank you!
nothing. it was perfect. all i have to do is to generate more games

More engaging games
Thank you.
very hands-on session that was useful and timely.
Can be slower in pace to guide teachers. Some may need more time to play around
Thank you for conducting this hands-on workshop for us. It is so useful for me to explore and create interactive games. I hope to have more hands-on interactive games workshop to enhance my teaching and learning.
interesting and useful to learn. thanks!
NIL
Thank you for the session! it was definitely useful!
Thank you for the easy to follow instructions in the decks!

Good exposure to the AI part for use to generate games for T&L
All good. Thank you.
More hands-on activity to explore the different use of HTML5 for various subjects.
Would you be open to do a sharing in my school? We will gladly appreciate it.
I would love to learn more about creating games using AI to support students' learning.
Possible to come down to schools to conduct this course?
Nil
My PLT group is currently working on integrating AI tools in Math lessons. Are u all able to advise and support us in our journey?
Thank you so much! I need to learn how to write prompts.
NIL
This was a good workshop. Loved the hands on activities.
Still need more time to understand the creation of HTML game creation better. Hope to see more of such workshops and continued guidance in this journey.
Provide a hands-on workshop for the use of the gamification function in SLS? Thank you!
I hope to have more E2K resources converted into HTML5 form to speed up the calculation and feedback process given to the students.
Creation of lesson planning with success criteria, generation of lesson ideas and formative assessments.
Thank you for sharing the prompts so that it was easy to try the hands-on activity.
Yes, it is very interesting. Thank you for the effort in conducting this workshop.
The course duration is too short. It is good to space out and give us enough time to explore each part of creating games. Too many to absorb in 3 hrs, after work, on friday and in the afternoon, can be very draining. However, I am interested to explore more on this game creations to make lessons more engaging and customised to our preference. Thank you for the enriching session and affirming us that we can use AI to our benefits.
