1. ETD will be conducting an attachment for 3 interested teachers over 2 weeks from 29 Oct to 11 Nov 2019, to help them design and code a html5 simulation/interactive/game that can be uploaded in an SLS lesson.

“"Brief Description
In order to emphasise the importance of "conservation of mass" and "atoms cannot be destroyed or created", the first part of the simulation will show students how atoms in the reactants will rearrange themselves to form new products. The second part of the simulation will show students how to balance equations, using the following visuals: - pictorial representation of the number and types of atoms - stating the number and types of atoms found in both reactants and products. Students will have the option of selecting which visuals they wish to view while balancing the equations. Finally, there will be a game segment to test students' understanding.

1. If you are agreeable, Z*** will report to ETD (Technologies for Learning) for the 2 weeks from 0800h to 1730h, where we will work with him/her on the project.  During this period, he/she will also have the chance to better understand the work we do in ETD.  Z***a can be excused to return to school if there are any official matters that require his/her attention. 
2. At the end of the 2 weeks, he/she will produce one or more lessons with the interactive/simulation which will be shared with you and her/his colleagues through SLS.  He/She can also record the hours spent on this attachment as part of professional development.

Idea 1 (Appreciating style): A literary device game following consisting of mini-games for each literary device. For example: Simile: Player is a knight trying to save a princess from a castle guarded by a dragon. To replenish his arrows, he must answer the question about similes correctly. Rhyme: The castle is in bad shape and the walls are crumbling down. There will be 4 bricks falling down on the knight. To save himself, he must take his arrows and shoot down the word that DOES NOT rhyme. Alliteration: The knight has reached the door but it is locked. To find the combination key, he must find the different examples of alliteration in a key (shape poem in key shape).
